Genkochi
Open the app and tap the camera button. Take a photo of any object, and Genkochi will identify items in the image and teach you the vocabulary in your target language.
Genkochi supports 21 languages including Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Dutch, Swedish, Turkish, Polish, Greek, Hebrew, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian.
Tap the microphone button and speak the word or sentence shown. Genkochi uses speech recognition to analyze your pronunciation and provide feedback.
Your vocabulary and learning progress are stored locally on your device. Photos are temporarily processed by our AI service to generate vocabulary but are not permanently stored.
You can reset your progress by going to Settings within the app. Note that this will delete all your learned vocabulary and statistics.
Make sure you're in a quiet environment and speaking clearly. Check that microphone permissions are enabled in your device settings. Try speaking at a normal pace.
Go to Settings and select your preferred target language. You can also change your native language for translations.
